THE LAUNCH OF THE PAN-AFRICA ESG FORUM – BAT
Project Scope
In November 2023, BAT hosted the inaugural Pan-Africa ESG Forum in collaboration with leading private organizations, including KPMG, Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC), the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Nigeria Climate Innovation Centre (NCIC), Sterling One Foundation, International Breweries, and others.
The goal is to create awareness and visibility for the maiden edition of the Forum.

Objectives
Leverage mainstream and top-tier media platforms to generate widespread awareness about the maiden edition of the ESG Forum.
Position BAT as a catalyst for change and a leader in promoting sustainable business practices across Africa.
Educate stakeholders on ESG practices within the private sector, encouraging adoption and integration of these principles.
Our Approach
Activate the Forum’s awareness among key stakeholders through traditional and digital media platforms
Sensitise the public and key stakeholders on ESG sustainability and its importance.
Attract key stakeholders and the public to participate in the conversation and ultimately register for the forum.


Result
The maiden edition of the ESG Forum event featured over 500 participants including high level stakeholders in the government, private organisations across Africa, partners, media and many more.
Over 70 blogs news mentions on tier one and mainstream platforms.
Outcome
The campaign was a resounding success, resulting in high visibility, participation, and engagement during and after the event leading to more partnership for the second edition of the forum.
