
Henkel Launches Forscherwelt Initiative in Nigeria
Project Scope
Forsherwelt, or Researchers’ World, is an international education initiative set up by Henkel that aims to encourage children to explore the world of science and to make research fun.
Henkel saw the need for children to be fluent in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and the Programme is its way of contributing to scientific literacy.
Henkel introduced the program to Nigeria as part of its CSR activities, to show elementary/primary school students, between the ages of 8-10 years the world of science.
The chosen city of launch was Ibadan as Henkel has an operational plant at Ibadan.
School chosen was People’s Primary School and launch date was October 17, 2021

Grow corporate social responsibility footprint in Nigeria.
Foster a relationship between Henkel and host communities.
Drive and Amplify Henkel’s involvement in community relations.
Build positive reputation among relevant political stakeholders.
Our Approach
FIRST STEP
Permission Letter
A request for permission Letter was submitted at the Oyo state Universal basic Education Boardas well as the Oyo state Ministry of Youth & Sports on the 26th of July 2021 to run a pilot phase of the Researcher’s World to- go program for 1 school Term of 3 months.
SECOND STEP
Recruitment of locally-based NGO as Facilitators. The Girls and Women Technological Empowerment Organization is a registered NGO in the Science and Technology Field and was selected as the approved registered NGO to be used for the facilitation of the program.
THIRD STEP
Guest invitations. Dignitaries from the Ministries of Education, Youth and Sports, SUBEB, were invited.


Result
Precise effectively handled the media mobilization and management at the event, and facilitated extensive media exploitation of the event, across print and digital media.
